After the release of The new iPad last Friday, many customers say Apple's new iPad is running hotter than its predecessor. One of its corners has been heating up to a higher degree than previous iPads. On the Apple specifications page, the company claims that the tablet's operating temperature range is 32 degrees to 95 degrees.

Apple responded immediately that "The new iPad delivers a stunning Retina display, A5X chip, support for 4G LTE plus 10 hours of battery life, all while operating well within our thermal specifications," Apple spokeswoman Natalie Harrison said. "If customers have any concerns, they should contact AppleCare."

Not only that, Testers at Consumer Reports found that the latest iPad could hit 116 degrees when running games. "When it was at its hottest, it felt very warm but not especially uncomfortable if held for a brief period. There is no harm to people's health and cause for concern.
