The name of Main product of Apple are not defined by number or generation, and iPad raised to main product. Each Apple main product comes with subcategory product. For example, iPod Nano, iPod Touch, iPod Shuffle belongs to iPod. Macbook Pro, Air belongs to Macbook series too. Maybe we will get iPad Pro, iPad Cinema, iPad Edu products soon. How about iPhone?
