Microsoft plans to sell millions Surface Tablet PC in the next year. In next 12 months, Windows PC sales expects to reach 375 million units iPad leather cases.
Microsoft Surface Tablet PC is covered with magnesium alloy casing, but the chassis production capacity is limited. Microsoft Surface prepare to adopt the magnesium shell, plus megVapor technology, which makes the Surface look like traditional metal coating. However, since this technology brings less production, it affects Microsoft large scale manufacturing plans.
Before Microsoft launches Surface, it consulted several metal casing manufacturers regarding large scale production of Surface, smart case for iPad 2 with biggest order of the Surface tablet up to 5 million units before the end of 2012. However, shell factory was forced to give up, because of insufficient capacity.
Compare to appearance and hardness, the current Surface is similar to traditional magnesium alloy case,leather cases for iPad2. But its variety of colors highlights the beauty of Surface.
